		<description><![CDATA[Excellent article.  My anecdotal evidence confirms this.  Firestone Walker&#039;s Union Jack IPA is a great example.  It&#039;s a great beer fresh, but changes character in a bad way after three to four months.  Here in San Diego, FW is distributed by a wine distributor, and it is not uncommon to have shipments arrive three or more months old. At least FW puts a brew date on each bottle.  Russian River dates its bottles too, and it is not uncommon to receive Pliny the Elder and Blind Pig that were bottled less than a week before arriving on shelves.  There is a noticeable difference in a fresh IPA.  I wish more brewers dated their bottles.]]></description>
