Actually I believe it was only the Porters bottles that were doing it but they had to pull them all. A faulty line of bottles I guess or carbonation. I guess there are still cases at the warehouse that are still blowing up. And as I was researching to clarify I guess their Convention ales were exploding also, but that was just to tops popping off due to a washer that didn't remove the yeast good enough.

That's right, I forgot about that! Did they ever say what the problem was? Some kind of production issue?

Last years one was more sweet than the hoppy ones I have had from like Great Divide and Sierra Nevada. Golden in color. Before their bottles started exploding I got about 5 of the Winter Warlocks. I liked it. Kinda seemed like a triple.

I've found English-style barleywines to be quite different from American-style. I looooove American style, but the English styles I've had--admittedly not that many--I haven't enjoyed as much.
